Mo Salah Makes History in the English Premiership

Liverpool’s Egyptian King, Mohamed Salah, just hit another mind-blowing milestone! On Wednesday night, he took his total goal contributions for the season to a staggering 49, proving once again why he’s one of the best in the world.

Salah wasted no time, facing a tough Aston Villa side, scoring Liverpool’s opener before setting up Trent Alexander-Arnold for the equalizer. That assist secured a crucial point for the Reds in a hard-fought battle.

But here’s where it gets historic—Salah has now recorded 10 Premier League games this season where he’s both scored and assisted! NO player has ever done that in the 33-year history of the English Premiership.

And guess what? The last time someone in Europe’s top five leagues achieved this? Lionel Messi, a decade ago!

Back in 2013/14, a 27-year-old Messi did it 11 times for Barcelona. But his peak? The legendary 2011/12 season, where he hit an insane 69 goal involvements in just 37 La Liga games

Only four players in Premier League history have ever managed 15+ goals and 15+ assists in a single season. Salah now joins this legendary list:

Eric Cantona (1992/93) – 15 goals, 16 assists
Matt Le Tissier (1994/95) – 19 goals, 15 assists
Thierry Henry (2002/03) – 24 goals, 20 assists
Eden Hazard (2018/19) – 16 goals, 15 assists

But Salah isn’t just aiming for records—he’s chasing Premier League greatness!

The record for most assists in a single Premier League season stands at 20, held by Thierry Henry (2002/03) and Kevin De Bruyne (2019/20). Many believed Bukayo Saka could challenge it this season, but injuries have kept him sidelined. Now, Salah has a golden opportunity to set a new benchmark!

With his current form, will Salah break the record? Will he go beyond Messi’s numbers? One thing is certain—he’s rewriting history with every game!
