Premier League unveils 2026-27 schedule: Arsenal begin title defense

The English Premier League ignited excitement across the footballing world this Friday as officials released the official fixture list for the 2026-27 campaign.

Reigning champions Arsenal will launch their title defense at the Emirates Stadium on August 21, hosting a Coventry City side brimming with confidence following their promotion from the Championship.

The opening weekend promises a series of high-stakes clashes as new managerial regimes begin their tenures. Manchester City starts the post-Pep Guardiola era at home against Bournemouth, while Liverpool travels to St. James’ Park to face Newcastle in Andoni Iraola’s competitive debut.

Meanwhile, Chelsea boss Xabi Alonso faces an immediate test of his credentials, leading his new side into a fierce west London derby against Fulham.

The 2026-27 season officially kicks off on August 21, with the remainder of the opening matchweek unfolding over the following days:
