Wilfred Ndidi has sent a strong message to Gabon and other teams ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup Africa Playoffs, declaring that the Super Eagles are in “dangerous form” as they prepare for the crucial qualifiers in Morocco.
The Super Eagles are set to take on Gabon in one of the semi-final clashes of the playoffs on Thursday.
“Our strength lies in our pace, power in transition, creativity from the wings, and a solid spine,” Ndidi said.
“We also have great depth—players who can come in and change the game. When we’re connected and intense, we’re dangerous. With unity and discipline, we believe we can achieve our goal.”
Ndidi promised fans a committed and organized display, stressing that the Super Eagles will fight hard in every moment.
“Expect commitment, organization, and intensity. We want to be tough to play against, control key moments, and show courage when it matters. The one thing we can guarantee is effort and togetherness”.
“We respect every team. Playoffs are decided by fine margins, not by reputation. Our focus is on preparation—sharp training, proper recovery, and executing the game plan. If we do that, our quality will speak for itself,” he said.
“We’re focused on qualifying while remaining humble and respectful of the challenge ahead.”
Reflecting on Nigeria’s journey so far, Ndidi noted how much the team has grown since their shaky start to the qualifiers.
“We’ve learned to value the little details—game management, set pieces, recovery, and discipline without the ball,” he explained.
“Trusting the process, sticking to our roles, and keeping team spirit high are key. We must manage pressure, deal with away conditions, and stay focused for the full 90 minutes. With travel and tight schedules, recovery and rotation are vital.”
