Super Falcons and Brighton & Hove Albion Women’s goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie has received an esteemed nomination for the 2025 Ballon D’Or Awards.
The official Ballon D’or list was announced on Thursday, highlighting the 24-year-old Nigerian’s inclusion on the shortlist for the Women’s Yachine Trophy.
Nnadozie, who recently joined Brighton after an impressive tenure with Paris FC, played a pivotal role in helping her former club secure the Coupe de France title for the first time in twenty years.
Her standout performance in the final included two critical saves during a tense penalty shootout against Paris Saint-Germain, solidifying her reputation as one of the premier goalkeepers in women’s football.
She is among five nominees for the Women’s Yachine Trophy, competing with Ann-Katrin Berger (Germany), Cata Coll (Spain), Hannah Hampton (England), and Daphne van Domselaar (Netherlands).
The winner will be revealed at the Ballon D’Or ceremony later this year.
