Ghana, Tanzania,Benin join Nigeria at 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup

Ghana, Tanzania, and Benin have joined Nigeria after successfully qualifying for the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco.

Nigeria advanced smoothly from WAFU B by beating Malawi 3-2 on aggregate. Furthermore, the team now prepares for another strong campaign.

Additionally, Ghana’s Black Maidens stormed through from WAFU B with an emphatic 8-0 aggregate victory over Togo. They continue to shine as consistent contenders.

Meanwhile, Benin pulled off a thrilling comeback against Burkina Faso, winning 5-3 on aggregate. The team earned their first-ever U-17 World Cup ticket through a dominant 4-0 home win.

Moreover, Tanzania flew the CECAFA flag high and secured their debut qualification. They defeated Botswana 6-2 on aggregate with commanding performances in both legs.

North Korea enters as the defending champion after claiming the 2025 title in Morocco their record fourth crown. Spain also stands among the regular winners with two titles.
